From Ferguson to LA to Denver, police brutality is real, and the only ones who can change it is us. Now is the time for action. At a forum on September 3rd, Denver community members resolved that we want an independent agency in charge of police discipline, effectively putting "policing the police" into the hands of community members, rather than the police themselves. But the only way to get there is to build a campaign and make it happen.
There is no one group organizing this. Members of the community are coming together organically to make this vision a reality. Join us for a meeting this Tuesday evening to contribute to this effort. We need all the help we can get. Tell everyone you know. We'll be determining a direction for the campaign, coming up with an action plan, and taking on responsibilities. Join us.
