1. Help Us Send Four Denver Youth to Miami for the Private Prison Divestment Youth Retreat!

This August 15-17th, our national partners at Enlace International and the Responsible Endowments Coalition are hosting a youth-led and youth-directed retreat all about starting and running a private prison divestment campaign. Four of our best and brightest youth from Denver's Victim Offender Reconciliation Program's Youth Leadership Institute are gearing up to attend their first ever national conference and need your help getting them there! Learn more and donate to the cause at our IndieGoGo Campaign Page and remember to share it with your friends and family! We only need $2000 and we're already on our way!

TONIGHT! Justice for Ryan Ronquillo Benefit Show - Friday, Aug. 8th at 7pm at the Aztlan Theater, 974 Santa Fe Drive in Denver
Just over a month ago, Denver Police shot and killed yet another unarmed Denver youth. The family of Ryan Ronquillo has struggled to pay the funeral expenses, so the proceeds of this benefit concert will be donated to the family. Find more information about the shooting and the event at the Facebook page here.

"America Has a Koch Problem" Movie Party - Sunday, Aug. 10th at 11am in Englewood (RSVP for full address)
MoveOn Metro Denver Council, in cooperation with the First Universalist Church’s Community Forum series, will be showing the "Koch Brothers Exposed" 2014 movie on August 10th. It is a great and compelling movie that focuses on eight issues that are being corrupted or damaged by Koch brothers’ money. It shines a light on the Kochs' toxic and sprawling reach, and introduces us to courageous people who are fighting back. RSVP here!
