Next Campaign Strategy Meeting

Join us! Be heard! This is your space!

The next campaign strategy meeting will be
Wednesday, March 5th @ 6:30pm at 1029 Santa Fe Drive in Denver

At the last meeting of the coalition, we narrowed down the ideas generated at the Unmasking Mass Incarceration event on MLK Day into four general categories: public education, restorative justice, infrastructure for re-entrants (people re-entering society after incarceration), and solitary confinement. Attendees split into breakout groups based on the category in which they have the most passion working, and evaluated their viability based on whether they are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely, and in line with the coalition's purpose of unifying across different intersections of oppression.

The notes generated from each of those breakout groups are pictured below. At the next meeting, we will be speaking as a larger group about the ways in which the coalition might tackle each area, either by creating committees within the coalition, a campaign, supporting other organizations that may be more directly working on that issue, etc. Please join us as we continue in the process of building the movement to end mass incarceration in Colorado!

Don't forget! Join us Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30pm at 1029 Santa Fe Drive in Denver to continue workshopping these ideas and building our coalition!
